Two-word subject lines beat long pitches

I A/B tested 312 sourcing emails last week for backend roles and ‘Quick chat?’ pulled a 28% reply rate vs 11% for detailed subjects. Pairing those with a 15-minute same-day intro slot cut interview no-shows from 24% to 9%. Curious if anyone else is seeing brevity carry through from outreach to interview commitment.

Seeing the same — two-word subject + a single same-day slot is money… > slot cut interview no-shows from 24% to 9%. Curious if anyone else is — we pushed to about 6% by adding a 45‑min SMS reminder and making the intro 12 minutes; also found “Today 3:30?” beats “Quick chat?” by about 3% but can trip spam if overused.

I’ve had the best lift by firing the calendar hold in the same email thread within 60 seconds of their ‘yes’ — that momentum nudge dropped no-shows to about 7%. For staff+ roles, though, a three-word subject with the tech stack (e.g., ‘Quick Go chat’) performed slightly better.

, no-shows drive me nuts too. “Quick chat?” plus a “15-minute today” offer works, but my biggest drop (to about 6%) came from adding a single-click confirm in the invite and a 2-hour “still good?” nudge in the same thread; candidates who tap yes show up. @bwright have you tried asking “Zoom or phone?” in that nudge to force a micro-commit?
