Rethinking Technical Assessments

I’ve been reflecting on the effectiveness of traditional technical assessments in the recruiting process. Many candidates can ace coding tests but still struggle in real-world scenarios. It seems like incorporating more practical, project-based evaluations could provide a clearer picture of a candidate’s skills. Has anyone tried this approach recently?
