Credentialing delays are costing ICU hires

We lost three solid RNs last month because it took 12 business days to clear ACLS/BLS, compact license, TB/flu, and EPIC access for a 7p–7a ICU contract — by day 8 they’d accepted faster offers. If you’ve cut this down, did you pre-validate certs at intake or lean on a credentialing vendor, and how do you keep compliance airtight without losing candidates in a shortage?

We were losing folks by ‘day 8’ too; pre-validating ACLS/BLS and the compact at intake via Nursys + AHA eCard and only submitting those who pass cut us from about 12 business days to 5, just make sure your intake form includes explicit consent. If you can’t staff that in-house, Symplr’s rapid package has been airtight for us but it’s not cheap.
